Hi, I’m Julie Ericson
Shamanic Practitioner • Holistic Health Coach • Traveling Art Mystic
Much of my life has been an exploration of what it means to live as a whole human being—body, emotion, spirit, mind, and Self—especially when life doesn't unfold the way we expected.
My own path has been shaped by decades of living with chronic illness. It taught me resilience and self-compassion, but perhaps most importantly, it taught me to become curious: to listen to my body, question familiar answers, notice patterns, and look at what was happening from more than one perspective.
That curiosity eventually led me deeper into the healing arts.
I spent four years in shamanic apprenticeship with the late Lynn Andrews, became a certified Holistic Health Coach, and completed advanced evidence-informed health and wellness coaching training through Holistic Health Educators.
Those paths may seem very different from one another, but I've discovered something important at their intersection:
We rarely experience life in only one dimension, so it makes little sense to explore it from only one.
We are physical beings. Emotional beings. Spiritual beings. Intellectual beings. Each part of us experiences life differently—and each may have something important to say.
The Sacred Wheel gives me a framework for listening to the whole.
I don't use it to tell someone what their life means or where their path should lead. Instead, it gives us different directions from which to explore the questions, transitions, patterns, possibilities, and ordinary messiness of being human.
Sometimes a person comes with a clear question. Sometimes they simply know something feels off.
Sometimes we use the Wheel. Sometimes coaching. Sometimes cards, ceremony, creativity, conversation, or a combination of them.
The method may change. The intention remains the same: to help you see more of what is already there, hear the parts of yourself that may have been overlooked, and discover what feels true and actionable for you.
Who Finds Their Way Here?
There isn't one kind of person who belongs at Art Mystic Wellness.
You might find your way here because you're navigating a transition, wrestling with a decision, questioning an old pattern, or trying to understand why something in your life no longer feels right.
You may be an empath or highly sensitive person learning how to care deeply without becoming depleted by everything around you.
You may be a caregiver, helper, healer, artist, or community builder who has spent so much time tending others that you're wondering what you need now.
You may be living with circumstances that require you to continually renegotiate what balance looks like.
Or you may be doing perfectly well and simply feel curious—about yourself, your spiritual life, your relationships, your purpose, or what else might be possible.
You don't have to be in crisis to become curious about your life.
And you don't need to know anything about shamanism, the Sacred Wheel, cards, or coaching before we begin.
How We Might Explore Together
Our work might happen one-on-one through coaching or an intuitive reading. We might gather around the Sacred Wheel online, explore something through a ceremony or workshop, or meet because you've invited the Traveling Art Mystic into your community.
What we do depends on what you're bringing.
Because I don't believe my role is to hand you my answers.
You bring your life. I'll bring what I've learned. Together, we'll get curious about what another direction might reveal.
Whether we're sitting across from one another, gathering around a fire, meeting on Zoom, creating something together, or simply having a conversation that opens an unexpected door, I hope you leave seeing yourself and your situation a little more fully.
I'd be honored to walk alongside you for a while.

THE STORY
How I Found My Way to the Wheel
I didn't set out to become a shamanic practitioner, a holistic health coach, or a Traveling Art Mystic.
Like many meaningful paths, mine revealed itself a little at a time.
In 2015, I experienced a vision and calling that led me into a four-year shamanic apprenticeship with the late Lynn Andrews and the teachings of the Sisterhood of the Shields. I completed that apprenticeship in 2019, and was ordained in 2020, but what I received from those years wasn't simply a collection of spiritual practices.
I was given another way to look at life.
At the heart of those teachings was the Sacred Wheel—a living framework of directions, cycles, relationships, and perspectives that has continued to deepen for me ever since.
I began practicing what I was learning in community. In 2017, I invited friends into my home for a Full Moon Ceremony. One gathering led to another. There were drum circles, New Moon gatherings, conversations around fires, card readings, workshops, coaching sessions, and countless opportunities to witness what happens when people are given space to slow down, become curious, and look at their lives differently.
My own life continued teaching me, too.
Years of navigating chronic illness deepened my relationship with the physical wisdom of the body. Holistic health coaching gave me practical, evidence-informed tools for supporting meaningful change. Art and creativity taught me another language for expression and connection. Shamanic practice taught me to listen for relationships, patterns, cycles, and wisdom that aren't always visible at first glance.
Over time, these things stopped feeling like separate parts of my life.
They became the way I work.
And then the work began traveling with me.
What started in my own home and local community has grown into something much less confined by place or format. I may be gathering with people around the Sacred Wheel on Zoom, sitting beside someone with a question and a deck of cards, facilitating ceremony around a fire, painting a mural, teaching a workshop, or arriving somewhere with a suitcase and discovering what wants to unfold once I'm there.
I've learned that I don't always need to create the structure or know where an experience will lead.
Sometimes my role is to step into the life, gathering, community, or question that is already there—and bring what I know.
That's how the Traveling Art Mystic began to make sense.
And through all of these experiences, one teaching continues to return:
There is always another direction from which to look.
The Sacred Wheel doesn't ask us to become perfectly balanced people. It gives us a way to notice where we are, listen to the different parts of ourselves, recognize what may need attention, and find our way back toward Center.
I'm still walking that Wheel myself.
Still learning. Still questioning. Still creating. Still discovering what becomes visible when I look from another direction.
The beginning turned out to be only the beginning.
And I'm very curious to see where the Wheel takes us next.
